This bassoon concertino was worked on sporadically throughout Charlet's studies for his Bachelor's Degree. It consists of a single movement that follows an ABA' structure. The B section encompasses a full sonata form and is thematically one big development of the A section. An early version of the opening excerpt was performed in 2017 featuring Oliver Engels as soloist and Antwerp Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Wim Henderickx.
